Burwardsley Church Update:

Dear Parishioners,

On Monday, 20th May, Councillors Stockton and Perry met with Father Lameck and his Burwardsley church team to discuss the future of our beloved Burwardsley Church. As many of you know, the church is currently facing a critical financial situation.

What you might not be aware of is that in July, both our Treasurer and Church Warden will be stepping down from their positions. This presents a significant challenge for us. The ongoing upkeep of the church is crucial, and the parish council will be exploring measures to ensure that basic maintenance is properly managed.

More importantly, our church urgently needs volunteers from within our community to assist with its management. We are compiling a detailed list of job requirements and action points to give everyone a clear understanding of what is expected.

We earnestly urge anyone who is able to volunteer to step forward and help keep our church open, not just for now but for future generations. Without the support of our community, the church will be forced to close. Father Lameck truly hopes that we can come together to raise the much-needed funds and provide the additional support necessary to manage various tasks.
