Candle Workshop Parking / Signs

Good morning,

It was noted on the weekend of the 1st June 2024 overnight camping vehicles started to arrive in the village car park adjacent to the old Candle workshops car park in higher Burwardsley, this is the smaller car park not the main bigger Candle workshop car park. The Bolesworth Estate have been notified of this issue and the parish council has asked the estate to put appropriate signage up indicating this car park must not be used for overnight parking. The parish council will provide a progress update in due course.

Re signage for the old Candle workshops site; Cllr. Stockton has been relentlessly petitioning the highways department to have old signs around the village removed. It appears Cllr. Stockton with his persistence has paid off, and the signs have been removed! If any member of the public notices any signs that have yet to be removed, please let the parish council know of the location. A huge thanks to Cllr. Stockton for assisting in this matter, well done!
